Lecture Series

K2I hosts several lecture series throughout the academic year. Each of these series has a specific focus:

The Distinguished Lecture Series brings leaders in the field of information technology from both academia and industry to Rice to speak about the impact their work has had on the broader field of information technology.

The Technology, Cognition & Culture Lecture Series traces the evolution of information technologies and their influence on civilization. It is sponsored jointly with the Center for the Study of Cultures and the Office of the Vice Provost and University Librarian.

The Technology, Society & Public Policy Lecture Series is sponsored jointly with the James. A. Baker Institute for Public Policy and the Office of the Vice Provost and University Librarian. This series focuses on social, political, and legal issues that have emerged from the information revolution that touches most aspects of our daily lives.
